Kingston Division of Surrey Beekeepers Association

We meet every Sunday at 3pm at our apiary in the Hampton Court Way Allotments during the summer, from March to September when the bees are buzzing. Visitors are always welcome: A glass observation hive for the curious who just want to look, a friendly atmosphere for everyone, and spare beesuits for the brave adventurous ones who want to enter into the busy world of the honey bee.

Our year starts in grand style with the Febuary Beekeepers Dinner, to tell tall stories, laugh, dream of honey and make plans for the years beekeeping.

Special events include Open Day on Sun afternoon 10th of June at 3pm, a Garden Party, Honey sales, the BBKA Convention, the National Honey Show in London, and the Christmas Pub lecture. Our best event is extraction day; producing 200lbs of honey and lots of very sticky beekeepers. Unfortunately our honey show - part of the Surrey County Agricultural Show has been cancelled because of the current foot & mouth emergency.

Club members get Beecraft magazine and a newsletter every month, product liability insurance for their honey, and national representation from the British Beekeepers Asociation, Bee Disease Insurance (for notifiable diseases - similar to foot & mouth regulations), lots of training, help and advice from a friendly local club..
